You can love teaching AND want more money.

What we believe
Teaching is noble. So is getting paid.
Teachers get called heroes and saints a lot. It's a lovely compliment that somehow always arrives with a pay cut. (We'll take the compliment. And the raise, please.)
Around here, we'd rather call you a class act.
an educator who knows exactly what they're worth and stops pretending otherwise.
Money is safe to talk about.
No shame here, and definitely no "just skip the latte" lectures. Money talk gets easier every time you do it, so we do it together.
You get to choose.
Staying in the classroom is a real choice, and so is trying your skills somewhere new. Either way, you deserve more money and more breathing room.
Dream out loud.
Your skills are worth more than any one paycheck shows. We think big around here, then take one small, doable step toward it.
Both things, at once.
Teachers deserve better pay, full stop. We push for systemic change AND we kick ass on our own in the meantime.

Teachers With Money: First in Class
Every Tuesday you get a seat at the table with educators and money people who've figured something out. A first-generation millionaire on a teacher's salary. A teacher whose writing side hustle grew to match her paycheck. And some weeks it's just me, thinking out loud about whatever money question I can't put down.
Expect a lot of "wait, I could do THAT?" moments.

About
Hi, I'm Christa!
I'm a former teacher and a forever educator.
I spent ten years in the classroom, and I loved it. Like, love-of-my-life loved it. In 2023 I made the hardest call of my career and decided to leave, but first, while I was still teaching, I opened a Teachers Pay Teachers store. That store wasn't the bridge out because it was successful. It was the parachute that caught me when I jumped.
This wasn't the path I planned, and I am OBSESSED with my life and my work right now! I get to talk money with educators every single day on the First in Class podcast and in my Wednesday emails, plus the occasional stage. It's my calling now.
Maybe you want to stay in your classroom with a lot more breathing room. Maybe you're curious what your skills could do somewhere else. Either way, the choice is yours, and you deserve to feel good about money on whichever path you pick.
(P.S. My classroom was an elementary music room. Ten years of concerts and recorders, and I'm still SO proud of it.)
so glad you're here!
